San Rock & Cederburg Tour
R 1 250 pp. Minimum 4 persons. – ~12 Hours round trip
Visit the less visited unspoilt and untamed Cedarberg. It’s a great, wild place, and you’ll feel part of its immense natural landscape. We drive over Thomas Bain’s impressive Pakhuis Pass. Here the landscape is especially dramatic, with eroded gorges and rocky slopes.
We will have the opportunity to see and photograph san rock paintings at the Stadsaal caves where formations of eroded sandstone form numerous rock arches, balancing boulders and surreal sculptures, making the Stadsaal Caves an awesome destination in its own right. The drive itself via the Blinkberg and Pakhuis passes is spectacular.
The tour includes wine tasting opportunity at the renowned Cederberg Cellars.
Take note that it gets extremely hot in this area between November and March with daytime temperatures regularly reaching the 40C mark.
