The picturesque fishing village of Paternoster is internationally known for its abundance of Cape Lobster (crayfish) and other delicious sea produce. It takes about 90 minutes to drive there from Stellenbosch. It’s unique West Coast character, tranquillity, security and natural beauty has become a favourite and regular destination for many national and international tourists.
On arrival will drop you on the beach and you will stroll along the water’s edge looking for seashells and enjoying the serenity. We will visit the Columbine lighthouse in Titties Bay. It is in a beautiful nature reserve and is South Africa’s only remaining manned lighthouse.
We will return via the town of Darling and Evita’s se Perron which is the home of Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout, the most famous white woman in South Africa. It is at Evita se Perron in Darling that you can meet Tannie Evita as well as many of South Africa’s most loved and loathed icons. This unique museum shows the darker side of our history with a large portion of salt.
