The wine industry has come far in doing-away with the easier practices of the past where crops were aggressively sprayed with chemicals to eradicate bugs deemed detrimental to production. Some have progressed further in organic and biodynamic farming than others. Fortunately, methods of growing grapes and making wine are changing and today producers consider the effect that additives and chemicals have on nature and their wines.
