From bedroom to kitchen, every room is air-conditioned. All bedrooms have remote-controlled ceiling fans and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The Luxury Room has a free-standing bathtub and twin showers. The house is newly refurbished with modern bathrooms complementing the old-world charm of solid wooden floors, doors, floors, sash windows, and shutters. The high ceilings and large windows provide lots of natural light and refreshing air.
We have four bedrooms. Should you book all rooms directly with us for more than two nights, we will provide a tailored rate. We can provide meals for you and suggest you have at least one braai with us (a South African meal prepared on fire. This is not a barbeque).
You may choose our self-catering option; the farm kitchen has the modern appliances and conveniences needed for self-catering. Alternatively, dine at our regional restaurants. We can help with recommendations.
We offer free Wi-Fi in and around the house. The TV lounge has two large sofas and the full DSTV (Cable) bouquet for news and sport as well as Netflix and Showmax. The adjoining library has a large selection of travel books in its selection, an open fireplace, leather sofas, and French doors opening directly onto the veranda and pool area.
The swimming pool is 50 sqm and 2m deep and borehole filled. There is a 200sqm English garden on one side and a large 100sqm sundeck with a braai area and firepit on the other. There’s a great deal of space for everyone. Conjure up sitting next to a fire under the warm star-ridden African night sky stretching from horizon to horizon.
No one should leave without having a wine tasting experience. We can assist you with wine tasting and other tours in Swedish or English with a certified tour guide. If you let us know in advance, you may join in on seasonal winemaking activities such as picking, crushing, blending, and bottling. You may even create your own blend to take home with you.
Even non-birders will be amazed by our array of birds. We have identified over 70 bird species on the farm.
We are well placed for day trips to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Tulbagh and Cape Town, each is 50 minutes away and the West Coast National Park with its azure lagoon and white sandy beaches is just 45 minutes. !Khwa ttu, the San Heritage Centre is 40 minutes away and is worth visiting. Riebeeck-Kasteel is only 20 minute's drive and is worth visiting for its dining. All these trips mean passing through magical countryside.
