Boat Based Whale watching
(Seasonal. 1st June-15th December)
R 3,500 pp. Minimum 2 persons – ~10 Hours round trip. Subject to availability.
We drive from Stellenbosch to Hermanus via Franschhoek Pass, Caledon to Gaansbaai. At the old harbour we boar our “whale watcher” manned with experienced whaling crew and marine biologists. The cruise takes approximately 3-4 hours. On return to the harbour we make our way to the whale capital, Hermanus for lunch. Thereafter we drive to Betty’s Bay to see the African Penguin colony there. Then we make our way back via the Eastern False Bay coastline way with wonderful views of mountains, ocean and beaches.
Highlights: The spectacular Clarens Drive, Stony Point, penguins, whales, Hermanus, Franschhoek Valley, Franschhoek and Sir Lowry’s Passes.
