Perhaps it is your desire to camp in the Kgalagadi and hear the Kalahari lions roaring from the campfire? Perhaps it’s to visit the Tankwa Karoo in the flower season or to combine a “Going Slowly” bush experience with a visit to a National Park? The options in are amazing and limitless. For the traveller wanting to live and breathe the bush, there is no better place.
We take the designing your custom trip seriously. With decades of experience, exhaustive knowledge of the landscape and wildlife, and an extensive network of lodges and guides, each itinerary is tailored as close to your specific dream.
All our tours are “off the beaten track”, and true bush expeditions. A custom trip can be on dates of your choosing and exclusive to your group. You may select to base it on an existing example or to create an entirely new and unique itinerary just for you.
The process starts with you telling us about your dream tour. We will respond with questions about the size of your group, your expectations, your budget and your abilities and earlier experiences. Our role is to listen, advise, inspire, and finally to transform your dreams into reality. We will advise what is feasible given your response and help you create the ultimate South African Going Slowly adventure.
We work with groups from 2 person to 10 people but mainly look after groups of 4 to 6 on average. Browse through the “Going Slowly” tours on our website for inspiration and mail us about your Southern Africa dream tour.
We can help make them happen. From a family friendly beach or bush stay to true exploration into the some of the wildest areas of Southern Africa.
Tours can have several themes. These are some of the most common.
Wildlife: We use experienced guides to help you find wildlife whether it be lion, African Rock-Jumpers, Black Rhino, leopard, humpback whales or Blue Cranes.
Photography: Wildlife photography, landscape photography, birds, underwater or flowers. We work with professional and amateur photographers to help you get the shot.
Wine: We work with wine guides, wine makers and wine masters. We create wine-themed tours and host wine tasting dinners and events be it in deep in the bush or other venues.
Family: Many families have benefitted from a week in the bush away from the mash of distraction over the Internet. Talking, walking, playing board games, game viewing and more talking. We can plan trips that are safe and fun for people of any age.
