Land Based Whale watching in Hermanus. (Seasonal).
We drive from Stellenbosch to Hermanus via the coastal road, Clarens Drive. The road follows the eastern False Bay coastline most all the way with wonderful views of mountains, ocean and beaches. We will pass Rooiels and Pringle Bay before stopping at Betty’s to see the African Penguin colony. In Hermanus we will have lunch and walk along the cliff path stopping to watch the whales in the bay below. There is an additional option to get closer to the whales by boat (weather permitting).

Whale watching in Hermanus. Boat Based (Seasonal). R 3300 pp. minimum 2 persons
We drive from Stellenbosch to Hermanus via Franschhoek Pass, Caledon to Gaansbaai. At the old harbour we boar our “whale watcher” manned with experienced whaling crew and marine biologists. The cruise takes approcimately 3-4 hours. Onreturn to the harbour we make our way to the whale capital, Hermanus for lunch. Thereafter we drive to Betty’s Bay to see the African Penguin colony there. Then we make our way back via the Eastern False Bay coastline way with wonderful views of mountains, ocean and beaches.
